What a well done movie. Filmed well, acted well, scored well........ for a movie about horses, its no Man from Snowy River, but it is still a great movie.
The war scenes are so well done I had Vets telling me that they felt like it was archive footage not acting during them.
Its not really my type of movie all together, but it was so well done that if you enjoy war movies, like animals, and dont mind sitting for nearly 3 hours, you should go check this movie out.

Okay, so when you have watched The Notebook and compare all other love story chick flicks to that epic of a movie, this movie fails. Through most the movie it is rather predictable. It was well acted, well done, just rather predictable.
The end was only half predictable because you think they are going to go one way only to bring it round another way. Even most the girls that i know that have seen this movie agree with me, it just didnt live up to expectations.

Not sure what to say about this movie. I can understand why alot of people liked it. I can also understand why 80% of people who came to see this movie were 40+ in age. Maybe when i am older i will have better grasp on the movie. Dont get me wrong. It was very well acted, we filmed, great movie. I just left feeling rather blah about the whole thing.

Now i know there are many who are gonna argue with me on this one. Especially anyone who was a fan of the comics. True fans aside it was just a crazy action packed movie all the way along. Brought to you by the same people who brought you the crank movies, so if you know that going in you will understand the weird camera angles and such a little better. Nick Cage........................................... cant act anymore................ its sad.

For me, it was a pretty awesome movie. The story, plot, ect were all well thought out and done. It's the filming style that i think may bother some people, even though i thought it was a great idea.
It's your typical teens get special abilities so let's watch as it from fun to burden to a final showdown type of movie. Which for me was a great way to make it. I love movies like this and i am going to be buying this movie when it comes out on video.

I thought the plot was sadly, very realistic. This movie is an amazing depiction of what would actually happen in today's world if three, unsuspecting teen aged boys gained super powers. It was very well thought out. The graphics were extremely well done and the whole movie was so well done it was like part of you actually believes this may have, or could happen. I know that when I walked out of the theater, I was wishing I could have my own shot at telekinesis.

So what do you do when you are single on valentines day? Take your brother to a movie of course. We went and saw this in 3D. It was pretty much exactly what I expected, over acting, cheesy plot and amazing 3D effects. They took a few too many liberties with the story, in my opinion, to make it fit a 2 hour movie and fit along with the first one. The acting was a bit cheesy, but, the 3D effects were fantastic and eye popping. They pretty much wrote the story so it would fit the effects they wanted to do.

Overall it wasn't horrible and the effects were cool. So +10 for 3D but only +5 for 2D.

This is yet another PG-13 horror movie that is ruining horror movies for true horror fans. I was contemplating giving it a -5, but i had such a fun time laughing at all the underage kids jumping at things that barely made me flinch that its almost worth watching just for that. However if you are a fan of horror movies don't bother. Personal opinion.

This was your typical CIA spy thriller with a fantastic cast. The movie delivered exactly what I expected it to. Action, suspense, fight scenes, good guys who are really bad guys, bad guys who seem to be good guys, and a slightly predictable ending. Although if you have seen Ghost Protocol you'll see a slight similarity between the endings.
All in all it was a good movie, good soundtrack, good actors, good script, just a bit predictable.

Star Wars is now in 3D, which for all you fan boys out there is just another slaughtering of the star wars franchise, but for everyone else its another great way to enjoy a classic.
So, even though I agree that lucas is driving star wars into the ground, I have to say that seeing it in 3D was pretty spectacular. The pod racers, the battle scenes, jedi fights, all of it looked pretty cool in 3D. Now granted it didnt help the story or the acting any, but hey, you should have assumed that from the get go.
Even with the movies initial flaws, it was still cool to see it in 3D.

I was looking forward to seeing this movie since, perhaps, August. Liam Neeson plays the rugged, heartbroken Jon Ottway. He plays the role very well and even the supporting cast, none of whose names I was/am familiar with, are amazing. This film does something that other films, as of late, have not been able to do: I came to truly CARE about these characters and what happened to them. Of course, since it's a survival movie set in the frozen wilderness of Alaska, you just know that most, if not all of these characters are doomed even before you get to know them. This doesn't keep you from rooting for them and their safety, though. I'm relatively jumpy when it comes to movies. I'll admit that at one point, I did have to look away for fear that I'd jump so badly that I'd disturb the entire theater.

The audio to this movie was just perfect, keeping you on your toes as the music cuts away so you can clearly hear the eerie noises all around the characters as they, and you, are just waiting for something to jump out. A couple scenes just struck me as brilliant with the somewhat artful way the characters' fates played out. The ending might leave some disappointed, but I think it was very tastefully done and wouldn't have changed it at all.

The bottom line: I thought this movie lived up to my months of anticipation. Everything came together into a masterpiece of a drama/suspense.

What a fantastic movie. I think I fell the most in love with how they did the wolves. You see them, know how big and visious they are, but they don't show them up close too many times so that you don't have to notice that they aren't real. There's one scene where you only see their breath and not them and yet it looks better than if you had actually seen the wolves. If you are looking for a feel good happy movie this is not the movie for you. However if you want a dramatic well done movie go see the grey.

Underworld: Awakening

Underworld: Awakening

+5

This movie proves what happens when a great movie franchise tries to hard. This is the newest installment in the Underworld franchise, which if you haven't seen is a fantastic franchise in my opinion. Here it is in chronological order.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009 prequel)
Underworld (2003)
Underworld: Evolution (2006)
and now Underworld: Awakening (2012)

So like i said, the problem with this movie is that it cannot stand on its own. You have no choice but to see the other ones to understand whats going on through some parts of the movie. They try in the beginning to give you a montage explaining what led up to this movie but allot of the significance of the images they are showing you are lost on anyone who is new to the series.
Plus you go in with higher expectations due to it being in 3D. I think they over hyped the movie.
Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed the movie even with its flaws, thus the +5 rating. I just think they could have done more to draw in a new audience.

This movie was superb on all levels. It has been a long time since a family movie has come along that has so well captured family, lonliness, sadness, joy, friendship, courage, dispaire..... every single emotion you go through growing up and growing old. It not only captures those feelings, it makes you fall in love with feeling them. Plus with the amazing 3D of this movie, where every single minute makes you feel like you're there, this movie transports you into this amazing world.

I try not to give away too much of the plot of movies but so many people are confused as to what this movie is about. The basic premise is its about a boy who loses his father, lives alone fixing the clocks in the train station and through some amazing coincidenses, finds out that the world is full of suprises and wonderous things come his way.

Martin Scorsese directed this as his first family type movie. This movie was made so that his children could watch a movie made by him. He made it the best family movie he could and it shows.

Therefore I give it a +E and urge you all to go see it in 3D before it leaves theaters.
